On behalf of the NCLGBA Board, we would like to announce and invite you to join us at the upcoming 2017 NCLGBA Winter Conference Planning Committee Meeting. The meeting will be held Friday, September 15th beginning at 12:30 pm at the Durham Solid Waste Management Auditorium 1833 Camden Ave. Durham, NC 27704.
Some of the responsibilities of the Planning Committee include selecting session topics, scheduling engaging speakers, and moderating, presenting, or facilitating conference sessions. We lean very heavily on your involvement to develop conference content that is exciting, relevant, and provides valuable professional development.
If you have an interest in becoming more involved with the association and would like an opportunity to assist in developing the conference agenda and sessions, please RSVP to Michelle Daniels (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Christopher Williams (email@example.com) by Friday, September 1st so we can plan accordingly for the conference room layout and lunch. If you are unable to attend our conference planning meeting, but you still have ideas for session topics or speakers, please send them to us prior to the planning meeting so that we can include your suggestions in our discussion. Some of you have already taken the initiative to offer suggestions and your ideas are very much appreciated!
In addition to planning with us, please place the Winter Conference on your calendar and reserve your room! The conference will be held at the Washington Duke Inn from December 13th through the 15th. The room block is now open and you can make reservations through the following link N.C. Local Gov’t Budget Assoc. or by contacting the hotel at (919) 490-0999 and mentioning the N.C. Local Gov’t Budget Assoc. (Group ID: 554597) guest room block. An official invitation from the hotel is below.
We really appreciate your time and commitment to the NCLGBA. We couldn’t offer such great conferences without your networks, ideas, drive and endless effort to piece all the details together with us. Thank you in advance for your willingness to volunteer and to help make this another great Budget Conference in Durham.
