Salary Range: $58,128.97-$90,158.36 annually


An employee in this class supervises staff assigned in the accounting functions including the maintenance of the accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, debt service and cash management. In addition, the employee oversees and participates in the preparation of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports (CAFR) and performs significant tasks involved in the annual budget preparation. The employee supervises and coordinates the duties and activities of accounting professionals and paraprofessionals. Extensive judgment, discretion, and technical knowledge are required. Work is performed independently under the general direction of the Finance Director and is evaluated through conferences and the overall effectiveness of the accounting functions.


Graduation from a four (4) year college or university with a major in accounting, finance, or related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible governmental accounting and financial management experience including successful supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer CLGFO or CPA.
