#NCLGBA23 Summer Conference Update

We wanted to send a quick update to you as we continue to plan the 2023 Summer Conference taking place this July in Beaufort, NC.

A draft agenda can be found here. If you would like to participate in the Strategic Planning Framework for Public Organizations pre-conference session led by Dr. Obed Pasha of the UNC School of Government on July 11th, please see more information and sign up here.

As you can see on the agenda, we will plan on starting the conference just after lunch on Wednesday and finish up at lunchtime on Friday. We have some very exciting sessions and plans in the works thanks to our wonderful moderators. This summer’s conference will feature the return of two very popular networking events – Budget Feud and Book Club! If you are interested in joining our book club discussion with our keynote speaker, you can go ahead and purchase his book at this link! We are also hosting FLORAL FRIDAY on the final day of conference – that’s right, we want to see a sea of your best beachy floral wear!

Not featured on the attached agenda is a review session lead by Dr. Rivenbark for those planning on taking the Capital Budgeting exam. This will take place via Zoom on the afternoon of Monday, July 11. Information on how to register will be coming in the near future so be sure to keep an eye out!

If you are planning to come to conference, please know that the room block is filling up QUICKLY. If you have not already done so, book your room asap. If the room block is full, let us know and we will begin a waitlist for available rooms. Use this link to book your room at the Beaufort Hotel now!

We hope that you can join us to enjoy these exciting events and our conference sessions. All the details on how to register can be found here.

Have a great rest of your week!
