NCLGBA Summer Conference Scholarship Winners Announced!

NCLGBA is excited to announce that the selection committee has recommended Nick Reinhart and Don Scales as the winners of the scholarship for the 2023 Summer Conference. Please join me in congratulating them!

Nick is an MPA student at UNC-Wilmington and a current Fellow with the City of Wilmington. Nick learned from the Budget Roadshows put on by the NLCBGA that going into budget is one of the best ways to have a meaningful impact on city government.  He looks forward to meeting fellow budgeteers to grow himself and hopefully obtain a career in budget after graduation.

Don is a budget analyst for the City of High Point, he is a new budget analyst transitioning from the non profit sector.  Don was attracted to a career in local government because he wanted to see the direct impact of his work in the community.  He hopes to use this conference to learn as much as possible to improve his ability to serve his community and advance his professional knowledge.
