Hiring Range: $48,195 – $63,699 – $79,204
Serves as an information resource to senior staff, the Executive Director and the Board of Directors, provides research and reporting services, responds to the general public, governor’s office, legislative, private and public partner inquiries, assists with strategic and business planning, staffs advisory boards, and supports IT by providing program mapping. Maintains an expertise on federal and state housing law, programs and regulations, as well as a thorough understanding of Agency programs. Coordinates or leads inter-agency and intra-agency initiatives and activities. Stays current on the affordable housing needs of the state as well as available housing resources. Evaluates Agency programs for efficiency, effectiveness, alignment with Agency mission, compliance with regulatory requirements and recommends adjustments to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.
The Policy group oversees the state budget request process in addition to the other responsibilities outlines in the job description.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field from an appropriately accredited institution required; Masters Degree in a related field preferred. Three years of experience in housing planning, finance or program operations is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Intermediate knowledge of Excel including pivot tables and Word is required; knowledge of PowerPoint is required; knowledge of and ability to use e-mail; ability to perform internet searches is required; strong reading, writing and verbal skills are required; strong analytical skills including ability to perform mathematical analysis of data is required; project management, facilitation, and public speaking skills are preferred; knowledge of housing industry and federal housing programs is required. Basic knowledge of SharePoint and GIS preferred.
