Expected Hiring Range: $20.51 ‐ $22.56 per hour

Description

The purpose of this position is to prepare and maintain financial records by posting and correcting financial transactions, assisting with preparation and management of grant programs and activities, and assisting with annual budget preparation.

Essential Duties & Resistance

  • Oversees the development including the implementation and close‐out of grants, agreements and special revenue programs in accordance with rules and
  • Conducts internal audits and coordinates and assists in audits of outside
  • Drafts, recommends, and prepares accounting and grant policies and procedures, including general ledger
  • Summarizes current financial status and recommends financial action by analyzing accounting
  • Processes transactions and prepares payments by verifying documentation and requests disbursements as
  • Serves as point of contact for departmental representatives on accounting procedure
  • Supplies financial information to management and awards agencies on grants, agreements and special revenue
  • Analyzes financial reports, work sheets, and schedules to verify accuracy of general
  • Assists in the budget process by providing and verifying financial data, reviews estimates and calculates
  • Ensures staff are trained in the rules and regulations, policies and procedures for grants, agreements, and special revenue programs and ensures ongoing
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or Public Administration from an accredited College or University, with at least three years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
